EHS tumors contain plentiful ECM proteins such as laminin (60% ), collagen IV (30%), heparan sulfate proteoglycans, nidogen (8%), and several growth factors. Part number 211252 is a high protein concentration version of GelNest™ Matrix with phenol red indicator included. While normal GelNest™ Matrix has a protein concentration of >8mg/mL, high protein concentration GelNest™ Matrix features a concentration >18mg/mL. Equivalent to Corning: 354248, 354262. Please note this formulation contains phenol red as an indicator. When frozen the color may differ from yellow to dark red. This is normal and results from the interaction of carbon dioxide, the bicarbonate buffer and phenol red. The color variation is harmless and goes away when the product reaches temperature and carbon dioxide equilibrium in the incubator.
